Security and encryption

Darkfax uses standard cryptographic building blocks and platform-provided libraries (as applicable in the app's codepaths), including:

  • Symmetric encryption: AES-family primitives / AEAD modes (e.g., AES-GCM or equivalents), and/or equivalent modern symmetric constructions provided by standard libraries
  • Public key cryptography: Curve25519 / X25519 (key agreement), Ed25519 (signing)
  • Hashing / KDF: SHA-2/SHA-3-family hashes and standard key derivation mechanisms as provided by libraries
  • Randomness: cryptographically secure random number generation (CSPRNG) from the platform / standard libraries
  • No proprietary ciphers, no intentionally weakened cryptography, no custom “homegrown” algorithms.

No method of transmitting information over the Internet or storing information on a device is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Service providers (third parties)

Darkfax uses CDNs, hosting providers, and other infrastructure/technology providers to operate the Service and deliver Darkfax AI reliably. We may also use operational tooling to improve product performance, reliability, and user experience. These providers may process limited technical information in the ordinary course of providing their services (for example, IP address and request metadata), but Darkfax does not use such information to identify users.
